Joe began his coaching career as an undergraduate at the State
University of New York at Potsdam. As a college senior he was asked
to join the coaching staff of a very successful men’s basketball
program. An outstanding high school soccer and basketball player,
the transition to coaching was a natural fit for him. Joe spent
the next 15 years building a career in software sales management
and coaching and playing basketball in the Seattle area.
A proud father of three girls, Joe recaptured his love for soccer
when he and his family moved to San Diego and his girls began playing
soccer 12 years ago. Coincidently, this is Joe's 12th year coaching
youth soccer. His first experience was coaching his daughters in
CYSA. As they progressed to more competitive programs, he stayed
very active with the teams and programs. Ever a student of the game
he was a volunteer assistant at each competitive level. During this
time he also had the opportunity to develop a program as the Girls
Head Soccer Coach and Assistant/Head basketball coach at Stella
Maris Academy in La Jolla, CA. After leaving Stella Maris, Joe accepted
a position as Assistant soccer coach at Scripps Ranch High School
in San Diego, CA, working with both the Varsity and Junior Varsity
programs.
In 2001, Joe accepted a position as Assistant Coach for FC Bratz
working directly with Jerzy Szyndlar, Director of Coaching. Joe
spent 18 months as Jerzy’s assistant and in 2004 accepted
the position of Head Coach of the Girls U19 Premier team.
Recent team accomplishments include:

- Nike Harvest Cup 2004 Champions, FC Bratz U19 Premier team
As competitive and successful as Joe has been, he still firmly
believes that every game is a good game, if his players feel better
about themselves after the game than before.
